Most people treat affiliate marketing as a solo side-hustle. However, to scale effectively, we are approaching this as a "Mini Agency" model—a structured partnership designed to treat link-sharing like a professional business from day one.
The Vision
The goal is to move away from "spamming links" and move toward a systematic content machine. By splitting the workload between two people, we can ensure high-quality output while staying on top of market trends.
Phase 1: Defining the Roles
To avoid burnout and confusion, we have divided the business into two core functions:
- Market Strategist: Responsible for tracking Shopee’s 7-day cookie windows, identifying "Commission XTRA" products with high conversion potential, and managing the affiliate dashboard.
- Content Lead: Responsible for the "Faceless" content strategy—editing high-energy 9:16 videos, managing social media uploads, and optimizing the "Last-Click" conversion path.
Phase 2: The Technical Strategy
Our operation will focus on three specific mechanics of the Shopee Affiliate Program:
- Optimizing the Last-Click: Since the commission goes to the final link clicked, our content must be the most compelling "call to action" the buyer sees.
- Maximizing XTRA Commissions: We will prioritize products offering up to 50% commission rates to maximize revenue per click.
- The 7-Day Window: We will build "Themed Collections" so that if a user clicks but doesn't buy immediately, we still have a week-long window to earn from their purchase.
Phase 3: Next Steps
The first milestone for this partnership is selecting a specific niche (e.g., Home Aesthetics or Tech Gadgets) and setting up a "Faceless" content workflow using mobile editing tools.
This is an ongoing documentation of our progress. In the next post, we will share our next step.
