The Tea Room: Commenting Rules & Rituals

Welcome! Whether you're here to talk Tech (Django and beyond), share a Tea recommendation, or discuss the Trade of software development, I’m glad to have you at the table.

To keep the conversation as refreshing as a first-flush Darjeeling, please keep these guidelines in mind:

  • Keep it High-Quality (The Tech): Much like clean code, I value clean conversation. If you’re sharing a code snippet or a technical critique, please be precise and use Markdown backticks so we can all read it.
  • Steep Before You Speak (The Tea): Coding can be frustrating, but let’s keep the heat in the kettle. If a bug or a post has you annoyed, take a breath (and a sip of tea) before posting. Constructive feedback is a gift; personal attacks are not.
  • Honorable Dealing (The Trade): In the world of trade, reputation is everything. Please don't use this space for "black hat" SEO, spam, or aggressive self-promotion. Let’s build professional value together.
  • The Service (Disqus): I use Disqus to host our chats. It’s a reliable tool for the trade, but keep in mind that by commenting, you are following the Disqus Privacy Policy.

A Note on Moderation: I treat this blog like my own study. I’ll happily host any honest discussion, but I reserve the right to remove "bitter" comments that don't add value to the community.

Grab a mug, find a seat, and let me know what’s on your mind!
